Close liaison between home and school is essential. Parents and foster
parents are an integral part of the centre's program. As well, we also
recognize that the child's home environment is a significant part of the
developmental process. The nature of the student's needs in the areas
of self care, communication, physiotherapy, etc., require consistant
approaches to tasks both at home and at school. Parents are encouraged
to become involved in the development of their child's personal program
plan and its implementation. As a result, close contact is maintained with
the home on an ongoing basis.
